Regardless of how someone gets into motorsport, once there, it’s a merciless sport. Careers are defined by results and if you’re not competitive and consistent, it’s over.

Since 1993 over one thousand amateur drivers have competed in the Ferrari Challenge, on legendary circuits such as Monza, and Fuji in Japan. Eileen Bildman and Lisa Clark are two of the increasing number of female competitors.

From Le Mans to the Canadian GP: Lisa Clark's Ferrari Challenge season continued with a Shell-Am class victory in a rainy Montreal, as the American extends her championship lead.

We asked Clark what clicked that could make 2019 her breakout year. "I think it's my racecraft. Being a more aggressive driver. More attentive."

Clark, age 56, is an amateur racer who not only drives these “crosskarts,” she is also known for racing with Scuderia Corsa in the Ferrari Challenge, and in the EXR racing series, which comprises arrive-and-drive endurance competitions where drivers enter their own sanctioned racecar.

Clark’s first car, according to a feature on the racer in Robb Report magazine, was a Jeep CJ-5 with an engine that didn’t run. Clark and her father, naturally, rebuilt the engine. From there, it was a green-light.

Lisa Clark, an accomplished Ferrari Challenge driver will also climb into the cockpit of a Fast & Speed USA crosskart this weekend. Clark has recently been the subject of much fanfare based off her role on the top new Netflix series “Fastest Car” along with coach Kevin Madsen.

..Lisa continues to have a passion for motorsports but being a mother took up most of her time. It wasn’t until later in life that she began racing. She’s worked her way up the ladder in the racing world...

Lisa Clark, a Ferrari Challenge driver for Scuderia Corsa has been turning heads with her impressive performances on the track in recent races.
